All racing will take place over 1,000m from a stakeboat start with a Time Trial for the first round of racing. It will be important that competitors understand that the results of this Time Trial will determine progression to the finals as follows:

• 1 to 4 entries will race a straight final
• 5 to 8 entries will race a time trial with the fastest 4 crews progressing to the A final
• 9+ entries will race a time trial with the fastest 4 crews progressing to the A final
• 6+ entries there may be the capacity to run a B final for crews, subject to timetable
